A 91-year-old woman from Maidstone lost more than £7,000 to a telephone bank scam.
The money was withdrawn in 10 days.
About two weeks ago the victim received a phone call by a fraud squad police officer claiming to be investigating suspicious activity on her bank account and gave her a faux crime number.
After revealing her PIN number a "sergeant" called at the house to collect her bank card and latest statement.
"He kept repeating himself and telling me about his sergeant. Really, he put on a good act... I thought they were trying to help me, but really they were just trying to get my money," were the woman's comments for BBC online.
The victim told her story to make people aware if the scales of the scam, but wishes to remain anonymous.
She is one of the nine victims of thieves aiming at elderly people around Kent.
Kent Police reported the thieves had stolen £43,000 all together by now.
